Bristol-Inspired Bitty by Colorado Cross Stitcher

A bitty piece inspired by Bristol samplers and motifs. 

I designed this piece and then used initials from a Bristol sampler that I have in my stash. Since I can't reproduce that alphabet for you, I added in Bristol birds in place of the initials for this free pattern. Should you want to personalize with your initials, check some of your samplers for initials that fit. I've indicated the corner marks where the initials fit in, if you want to do that.

When stitched one over one on 46 count, this piece fits into a Tim Holtz locket (available at Hobby Lobby or some stitching shops). Of course it would also look cute stitched normally and popped into a small frame!
