Frances Grassby 1845 by Hands Across the Sea Samplers

I'm guessing Frances is an animal lover. She designed her sampler with a small red house and plenty of wildlife in the yard to keep her company. Although just nine years of age when she stitched this, she already had a good sense of her place on earth, and a view towards her heavenly home.
