The Twelve Days of Christmas song was published around 1780 and has been popular at Christmas time ever since. Is it Colly Birds or Calling Birds? It seems both are correct. Colly birds is the older phrase and predates Calling Birds by about a century. No matter what you call them, this design is beautiful and those birds are stunning! Includes the pattern for the sampler and for amending it to the tree shape.
